The best game of my life

Thursday night had to be one of the best nights for me and everyone in my family had to miss it besides my dad and Blake. My soccer team had an away game Thursday night to a team we knew we could at least tie with, Satsuma High School. Their pretty much on our level when it comes to difficulty and skill. Anyways, i had orders from a doctor to sit out of anything that involved running for 2 weeks last Friday due to some pain i had been having in my ankles. Well i shortened that time to 6 days...close enough right? I told my coach that i didn't care if he didn't want me to go in (even though i knew he wanted me to) to just go ahead and put me in anyway. He ended up putting me on first string, where I've been all year, and allowed me to play the entire time. It was a hard long game and one of the best games i had ever played in my life. They scored in the first half towards half time, then we scored in the second half with 15 minutes left. My teams knows not to quite and to go hard to the end even when you know your going to lose, so we pushed hoping that at worst we would have to go into a shoot out. Everyone on the team gave it their all till we were just ready to fall over and sleep because we were so tired. The last minute had to be the most intense, 30 seconds into the minute......they scored on a VERY lucky shot. Those last 30 seconds were the most brutal 30 seconds of my young life. We pushed for a goal and missed. Then the whistle blew and it was all over. Its strange how things can be going your way then you get a slap in the face and your welcomed back to reality very quickly. Our coach did just that, we were upset yes but what he made us realize is that we didn't give up at any point in the game and we played one of the best games we had ever played that night. I got called out (for a good reason) i had tried my hardest, gone against my doctors orders, and in return made some of the best plays i have ever made. I could go on and on forever about how good we did and how it isn't always about winning, its about the "to-close" games, the screaming fans, and how hard you tried. In the end it will never matter if you win or lose but how you played the game.

Family Home Evening

Family home evening is always a little disorderly in our house but what family has a perfect family home evening. Anyways, we played this game where you put a pile of flour on a plate and then place a penny on top of the flour. After the penny is on top of the flour you use a knife to cut the flour in sections until someone causes the penny to fall. The last person to cut the flour that caused the penny to fall has to pick up the penny with their mouth and that's it. You continue to do that until its down to two people, whoever goes through the whole game without making it fall wins! Well seeing we have 7 people in our family it took a while for us to finish but when we finally did I came out victorious and flour free :] The first to have to put their face in the flour was Ethan, followed by my dad, then Hannah, Dylan, Blake, and last my mom. I was determined to keep my face clean considering I had just taken a shower 30 minutes before. My mom thought she had me beat but she was obviously wrong. I wish I would have taken pictures now but unfortunately i have lost my camera and all my mom's cards are full therefore.....no pictures:[ I'll be sure to take pictures the next time we do something fun.

Playlist's are not my friend

So I have decided from this point forward that playlists are no longer my friend. I timed how long it took me to figure out how to put a playlist on this blog and it took me around 4 hours! Ridiculous I know. The problem was that I was being stubborn and tried to figure out how to do it on my own with out any help from the computer...that didn't work. I finally gave up and read exactly what to do and got it done in less then 5 minutes. Now I'm quite embarrassed and wish i would have just read the instructions from the beginning. I'm starting to find that having a blog is kinda fun...even though I've only had it for one day. I'm excited to keep daily updates of our family accomplishments and slip-ups. This is obviously the first slip-up of many that will most likely be listed in the future. I cant help but laugh at this very moment, i can hear the buzz from our hair cutting thing a few rooms over and the thought of my dad being completely bald just makes me laugh for some reason. That's not all, my sister is singing primary songs while my 3 brothers are playing video games, well now she's yelling at them because their scrutinizing her singing and that is just causing me to laugh even more. It's funny how i started out talking about how i despise playlists and now I'm ending with how my sister is yelling....i think i have a touch of ADD :]

Happy Easter!

HAPPY EASTER! Its officially Spring now that Easter is here. Spring time is always the best time to be in Mobile , the cool weather, all the beautiful flowers, and your not swimming in your own sweat like normal. Seeing as this is our first blog i have no clue where to start. Well i guess i could start by saying that I, Chelsea, decided that our family needed a blog and when i asked my mom about it she also suggested that i could use it for a Young Women's' project. I felt out of the loop with everyone else having a blog so this is the start of our family blog and my Young Women's' project. So here we go! Hope y'all enjoy the blog!
