Just a little tid-bit :]
I've seen on other blogs how people just simply talk about their life, or things that make them smile, just simple things like that. So i thought to myself "MY TURN!" For starters, do you ever actually think and analyze how much your life would change if you could go back in time and simply change one thing? Just one thing? I know i do all the time. I always wonder what would have happened if I would have gone to this one dance or if I would have said that one thing before it was to late. Do you know what I mean? If I could go back to last semester, English class, i would have changed one simple question i asked. We were beginning to read this story, Animal Farm, and its kind of mocking the Russian democracy many years ago. Well their were all these rules that the animals had to follow on who they could talk to and what they could do. Well one rule stated that they were ordered to never speak to or associate with anything that stands on 2 legs. Which left me thinking, "What about fish?" When I raised my hand to ask my teacher, the question came out all wrong. Instead of saying "What about a fish?" I said "What's a fish?" From that moment on she never let me forget it. To this day she bugs me about it even though I'm not in her class anymore she tells all of her classes about me when they start reading the book. Now that I look back it was funny but not at the moment. I constantly think "What would have happened if I would have thought about what I was going to say before i said it? What if?" Point is, sometimes you only have one chance to do really good or screw it up...no pressure :] I've learned that sometimes its the mistakes that you make that make people like you, its not always about what your good at or how good at something you are. This brings up another subject. Friends. Their the ones you can act like a total and complete idiot around and you know they wont laugh AT you but their going to laugh WITH you. My friends have always been my second family. The older i get the more friends i make...but sometimes i lose friends. Friends are there when you need them, best friends are ALWAYS there even when your being a complete idiot and they don't get embarrassed. The people who are in your past are there for a reason they remain in the past because that's where they belong. The people who are with you now are the people your suppose to be with and those that have been there all along, will always be there. People always have there places for you in their life's and you'll always have places for people in yours. My point is, people come and go and some decide to stay, those that stay are the ones that matter the most.

Mamasita?
Cecily Odom just so happens to be the funniest little girl I have ever met. I mean, for a 6 year old, she's very witty and just plain funny. All 6 year old's are some what witty but Cecily has risen the bar. So today at the church pot luck my mom asked her to get her a cup because she forget to pick one up. Cecily went and got her a cup, no complaints, because she loves my mom to death. As she is walking back, she starts talking to Dylan. Well, like all 6 year old's, her attention span isn't very long and she couldn't really focus on 2 things at once. Cecily continued to talk to Dylan even after she got to the table but was still holding the cup. After a few minutes she noticed she had it in her hand still. She looked at my mom and threw it to her. I mean this was a throw, it went over Dylan's head, in front of my mom's face, and into her lap. Cecily felt bad you could tell in her face. She shrunk in her chair and very slyly, trying to get on my mom's good side, said "Eh....mamasita?" It was the funniest thing i had heard all day. She is desperate to be my mom's favorite out of Ariel and herself. So I guess when she said that she figured she would get brownie points for saying something in Spanish. We laughed about this for a while and I'm sure its going to be something we talk about for a while to.

Family Home Evening
As I've stated before, our family home evenings are always hectic and crazy. Tonight though, it was the funniest it has ever been. The family decided to play Disney Movie sheraids for tonight. Let me explain what happened. So the first person to go was my mom because she picked the game. She started to curl her hair with her finger and skip around for a few minutes. When no one got it she then started to act as if she was eating something from under our TV shelf. Once she did that everyone instantly knew it was Elf but Dylan had the fastest instincts so he was up next. Dylan looked like he knew what he was doing at first, but it was down hill from there. He got on all fours on the ground and acted like....geez I dont even know he looked like he was being wacked in the back repedidly with a whip or something very painfull. Then he would stand up and start pointing and again looking like he was being hit with something very painfull. As soon as everyone had given up on trying to figure it out, it came to me...Barnyard! He let out a sigh of relief, im sure he was tired of trying to get us to get it. It took me a minute to figure out what I wanted to do, but I finally thought if something. I began to act as if I was hitting something on the ground. Then I made an array of different faces. As I started to make the different faces I thought "If they dont get this I just might die." I was getting tired of making faces and I couldnt remember but 3 dwarfs, so thankfully my mom figured it out. I was acting out Snow white and the 7 dwarfs. Since my mom had already gone she let Ethan go. Let me tell you now, if I had one moment where I wish there was a camera in the house that had betteries, it would have been then. I thought I was going to pee in my pants and im pretty sure everyone else was about to also. Ethan gets up and imediately looks like he knows whats he going to do. There's the problem, he always LOOKS the part but rarely will he actually get it right. He started jumping around and do some crazy things I didnt know he could do. Its very hard to explain but im going to try. I guess ill start off by telling you he was trying to explain the movie Fantasmic. He was waving his arms around his head in circles and crashing then down to the floor. He would then get on his hands and knees and make weird body movements that are litteraly undescribeable. I really wish I would have had a camera it would have given everyone who reads this a good 10 minute laugh. Anyways, he continued to make weird facil expressions and hand movements untill we all gave up. He acted as if we all should have known what he was talking about when he told us what movie he was acting out. So after he sat down he was down right exasted, i had never seen someone so....I dont even know how to explain it. The next person up was Hannah. She had picked to do The Little Mermaid which could be either easy or hard depending on what you acvt out and how you act it out. Hannah, being herself, chose the easy route. She acted as if she was swimming and that was all she had to do, everyone knew exactly what she was doing. After Hannah went Blake, this was another funny one. He started acting like he was holding a baby in his arms, rocking it softly back and forth. He then sat on the ground with his knees pulled in under his arms and rocked himself back and forth. The entire time he was staring at my dad, it got to the point where my dad suggested that he make eye contact with everyone because he was getting freaked out. You could tell in my dads facial expression he wasnt joking. With that being said he turned and faced everyone still doing the same things over and over. I started to think "Do they know that the purpose of shirades is to perform different parts from a movie, not just one or two sceens over and over?" I deicded to just let them continue without saying anything, I mean really its just family home evening. Anyway, He was trying to act out Hercules. It was getting late and everyone was getting to the point that they were so tired they were hyper. So the family was going to do a second round, but everyone was just way to hyper. I still cant believe my camera didnt have betteries. The one night I need it the most...no batteries. Ill just have to make sure we have batteries AND a working camera next time.

Overcast and Windy
So yesterday I was expecting a sunny day at the beach and instead I got an overcast, windy, and chilly morning. I had been bugging my mom to go to the beach ALL week but we still hadn't gone, so when we finally went yesterday I was excited. We got there really early, we were the first ones there so far and it was around 9:00. When we stepped out of the car, wow what a downer. It was just as windy and cold at the beach as it was in Mobile if not colder. I'll admit I was upset, but I didn't show it because I really wanted to be there so we stayed. For an hour maybe we were the only ones on the beach, my sister and I were playing with the sand but I still hadn't taken off my t-shirt or shorts, I thought it was to cold. So I stayed in my clothes for a long time before I even considered taking them off, and when I did I didn't even worry about sunscreen because it was so overcast. As a result of no sunscreen I got burned.......on one arm!!! Not only am I burned on one arm but its a weird burn, its all jagged and deformed. The sun is not my friend :[

Oh the horror...
Swim suits. Two words I never use to fear. Recently it seems that all swim suit designers have decided to make most of their swim suits bikinis or skanky one pieces. Excuse my french. It took me two days to even find a decent swimsuit. The places I normally look like target or khoals usually have a good wide selection of swimsuits but recently they seem to have nothing but bikinis. I got to the point where I actually considered just buying one and then buying a dark colored surf shirt so you couldn't tell I was wearing one. As soon as I thought that, I found one. Its getting harder and harder each year to find swim suits, even for older women like moms. As I was looking for my own swim suit I noticed that all the older women's swim suits were also sizing down to more bikinis and less one pieces or appropriate two pieces. I can only wonder where we will be in a few years and just what exactly the selection is going to be like. The point of me bringing this up is to point out how things are getting today in America, around the world even. More and more people are finding it OK to show more skin then ever before when in reality its just plain unattractive.

One Big Muddy Mess
It's a normal YMCA Saturday morning in our house with everyone rushing around looking for their cleats, socks, chin guards, jersey's, things like that. It had been raining all night and some of this morning so my dad called to see if my brother and i were having a game since we played at nine and it was still raining around eight. Our game had been cancelled but my other brothers, Ethan and Dylan, still had their games. When we got to the YMCA i gained a new definition of flood. The goalie area in front of the goal box was completely filled with water, it was very obvious that whoever played goalie would get muddy, very muddy. Dylan's game started around the same time as Ethan's so I decided I would watch Ethan's game since we play on the same field(he's only one age group under me), besides the littler kids around Dylan's age cluster up a lot. Just when you think you've seen as much slipping and falling as you can in one game someone else falls. Every single person on both Ethan's and Dylan's team was muddy to an extreme it was disgusting. Personally I'm actually kind of happy I didn't have to play, I mean I don't mind getting dirty i enjoy it sometimes but this was a different kind of muddy. It was the "more water-than-mud" muddy. If I didn't know better I would have said they were playing slip and slid with protective gear. Their was even a little girl maybe 2 or 3 that was watching the game and then she realized the YMCA had a red dirt track around all the fields. Well since it had been raining it was obviously muddy, and in some parts even under water. She walked over to an area under water and just sat down and rolled in it. She was having a ball it was hilarious, she was rubbing it on her arms and face rolling in the water laughing. Little kids know how to appreciate the simple things even when they are disgusting. Anyways, in the end Ethan won his game with a score of 4-2 and Dylan won his with a score of 1-0. I unfortunately made the mistake of wearing my converse which are now muddy:[

What A Nice Surprise
So I'm sitting in our family room minding my own business baby sitting my siblings when I hear the door bell ring. I get up to go see who it is and I got the biggest surprise of my life. It was none other then Elder Harris! He was one of our many favorite missionaries that we missed when he left our ward. Anyways, so I walk up to the door and I scream well it was more of a yelp for joy because I hadn't seen him in FOREVER and he was cool, and all my siblings are like, "WHAT? WHAT? WHAT?" so i said " ITS ELDER HARRIS!" then everyone ran to the door and TA-DA! One happy reunion :] So we talked for a good 15 minutes or so about school and church and home life. Then I asked him about all the places he had been and I got to meet his companion Elder Chase from Utah. Considering it was me and no parents I called my mom and he talked to my mom on the phone for a little bit. When that was all said and done they had to leave so they could go see my mom before they threw in the towel for the night. So we said our good byes and they were gone. Its always nice to see a friend you haven't seen in a long time, I'm sure everyone who reads this knows what I'm talking about. Its like you lose a dog and then a week later you wake up with him at your feet its just a nice and unexpected surprise. Isn't that the point of surprises though?, just when you think something or someone is gone forever they pop back up into your life. My point is, you never know when something that always been in your grasp will be stripped from you, and sometimes you never get to see those things again. Make the most of the time you have with people, you never know when their going to leave you and whether it'll be temporary or permanent. Love all those around you even if they do get on your nerves, what goes around comes around.

The classic Chuck Taylor's...
I just recently bought my first pair of Chuck Taylor's and when I first put them on it was pure magic. I had some knock offs that looked just like them only they were brown and didn't quite feel the same, if you know what I mean. Anyway, with in the first few days of having them I asked my parents if they had some growing up expecting a yes because just about every adult I know did. My dad took the more conservative route with black and white while my mom went with a funky bright baby blue. I guess I take after my mom seeing that I went with bright red. Since Chuck Taylor's first came out however, there are more designs that have come and go then ever before. Mine are not only red BUT they are double tongue and the tongue that flips down is polka dotted with lady bugs ill post a picture once i get one so you can see. Anyway, the point of this was to show that Chuck Taylor's are here to stay and i don't expect them to be leaving anytime soon and even if they do I'm not really a follower so they'll continue to live on through me long after they go out of style. :] converse = love = one happy Chelsea
